Exploring Turkey beyond the beach in Alanya

So I've got a trip booked to Alanya at the end of next month, and honestly the main reason was just to chill on the beach for a week without thinking about anything. But then I started looking into what's actually around there and it turns out the whole region is packed with historical sites, ancient ruins, stuff that's been there for thousands of years. Now I'm thinking I should actually explore some of that instead of just lying on sand the entire time. The thing is, I have no clue how to get around and see those places. What's the best way to m

Most people just stay in the hotel zone because it's comfortable, but you're missing out on ancient cities and Roman ruins that are right there. Getting around by taxi or tours puts you on someone else's schedule and costs more. Renting something lets you move around on your own terms and actually explore the region properly.
