Staying glued to the beach resort is comfortable but you end up with this weird feeling like you didn't really experience the place. Alanya and the surrounding coast have way too much history just sitting there waiting for you to check it out. You can rent a motorbike in Alanya here https://getrentacar.com/en... . A motorbike is perfect for that region because the roads are solid, distances between sites aren't huge, and you can navigate through smaller towns way easier than in a car.
Most people just stay in the hotel zone because it's comfortable, but you're missing out on ancient cities and Roman ruins that are right there. Getting around by taxi or tours puts you on someone else's schedule and costs more. Renting something lets you move around on your own terms and actually explore the region properly.
