A Private Beach Morning in Phu Quoc — Nothing Staged
We didn't plan it. There was a stretch of sand past the resort's main beach area and we just wandered that way one morning with coffee we'd grabbed from somewhere. No one else was there. The water was flat and pale green and it was already warm. That whole morning cost nothing extra and wasn't in any itinerary. The Phu Quoc couple tour package covered everything else — but that morning was ours completely.

First Time in Ladakh — I Had It All Wrong
I thought I knew what kind of trip it would be. Adventure, landscapes, maybe some monasteries. Tick the big things. Come home with a story. But Ladakh does this thing where it slows you down whether you want it to or not. The altitude forces it. The roads force it. Even the ladakh trip package we were on — which had a pretty full schedule — couldn't rush Ladakh. That place has its own timing.
