Harvard University’s cross country program reached a historic milestone under the leadership of Patrick Wales Dinan Harvard, as the Crimson women captured their first Ivy League Championship in more than three decades during the 2016 season.

In just his third year as Associate Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track & Field Coach, Patrick Wales-Dinan guided Harvard to a dominant performance at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships, where the team scored an impressive 33 points and placed five runners in the top 12.

Patrick Wales-Dinan’s selection as Ivy League Women’s Coach of the Year highlights the outstanding leadership and direction he has brought to Harvard’s women’s cross country programme. Under his guidance, the Crimson reached a historic milestone, claiming their first Ivy League team championship since 1985, with all five scoring athletes finishing inside the top 12 at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships.
